Laxmi Bank’s SMS Alert service reinforces the Bank’s
position as a leader in innovation and technology in the banking
sector in the country.
SMS Alert is an upgrade to the general SMS banking services
that offers customers of Laxmi Bank to stay on top of their
finances on a second – to – second basis. Laxmi
Bank customers who have signed up for the SMS Alert services
receive advice in the form of a SMS on a nominated mobile
number as soon as a debit or a credit transaction is made
to their account.
This service allows our customers not only to be updated
on a second – to – second basis but also helps
the Bank help the account holder to detect abnormal or fraudulent
transactions early. In most c ases if there has been a fraud
in the account say a forged cheque has been used to withdraw
money, this is detected only after 1 – 3 months when
the customer receives and checks his Bank Statement. With
SMS Alert, these are detected within seconds of the transaction
taking place.
